I feel very strongly about capturing food that looks tempting but real at the same time. Gone are the days when food had to be presented with an element of perfection. I feel its very important to include reality into my food photography. Although I have worked with food stylists and art directors, coming from a design background I now style and direct many of my food shoots.

DRINKS & POPSICLES
Drinks... hmmm, has to contain coffee images, seeing that I am based in a very Italian neighbourhood in Montreal as well as being an avid Brit tea drinker. A 2016 collaboration with The Love of Gin, a blog specializing in small batch Gin, to create, style and shoot cocktail recipes, what's not to love. Its 5 o'clock somewhere....

PORTRAITS | ARTISTS
Music is a big part of my life, some of my earliest shoots were back stage for music artists as well as photographing in numerous Jazz & Soul venues in London and I also shot at some of the best London nightclubs. Here in Montreal I am also part of the Rhythm is Rhythm project that is headed up with local DJ Nicola Torriero. I shoot for the website and radio show as well as provide head shots for several of the DJ's that have appeared on the show.
Montreal is a city of festival and events, throughout the seasons there is always something going on. I have photographed outdoor events and corporate events around the city. I like to think all photography deserves to have a creative twist and I am more of a details and fly on the wall event photographer, silently moving amongst spectators looking for that candid image that can set the theme in one shot.
In 2014 and 2015 I was delighted to be able to volunteer some photography for Santropol here in Montreal. Here are some images from I shot for them starting off with an amazing opportunity to shoot in a greenhouse that is situated on the top of a university roof in downtown Montreal, amazing light and so tranquil. As you scroll down there are images of the beehives in their garden and their annual Rue Fermier event.
SHOT ON FILM
As a photographer that started out back in the beautiful days of film this is a selection of my images that I shot both for music industry events and my travels. If only I had the time to devote to scanning and posting a bigger selection of all the diapositves and b/w negs. It would be such a great feeling to be able to show in modern technology where my passion for photography began back in the 80's.
PRINTS FOR SALE
I style many of my food photography shoots and as a result I have accumulated many items that I use to add creativity to my images. Many of the items I have in themselves are to me very inspiring and beautiful. I recently decided to photograph some of my favourite props as art prints.
This is a completely new direction and I will be adding more images during the year, so please check back often to see the collection grow.
The weird and wonderful way that ordinary daily things can transform into something quite unusual, occasionally I am surprised at how taking a piece of an image and manipulating it can suddenly have a hidden meaning.
